We work with existing property owners across the full spectrum (no first home buyers here - for now at least) - from the owner-occupier looking to restructure and free up cashflow for a renovation, through to the experienced investor acquiring their next large commercial deal. The role

Are you the person other brokers call when a deal gets tricky?

We're looking for a senior Credit Manager | Delivery Lead to own the client delivery engine of the business.

You will lead deal structure, lender strategy, submission quality, workflow, and team performance across our delivery function.

This is not a pure admin or processing role!

It is a senior role for someone who combines strong credit judgement with financial strategy capability. While our brokers handle the client relationship and the why, you will own the how and critically, you will own it completely.

The goal is simple: brokers should never need to touch delivery or handle exceptions with the bank. That's to be your (and your teams) domain. You are the bridge between client agreeing on a strategy and a settlement, and the measure of your success is how rarely a broker needs to get involved once a deal is in motion.

You'll work closely with the Founder and brokers, lead our offshore delivery team, and help ensure every application is well-positioned, well-packaged, and moved efficiently from first touch through to approval.


What the role looks like

Credit and financial strategy

  • Take raw client data and architect the right lending solution whether it be main bank, non-bank, equipment finance equity release and/or split banking

  • Think beyond policy to the client's broader financial position and objectives

  • Support brokers on complex or borderline deals, combining credit knowledge with strategic thinking

  • Navigate second-tier and non-bank lenders with confidence, knowing when they're the right fit and how to structure deals accordingly

  • Help shape solutions that are not only approvable, but commercially smart and aligned with the client's longer-term goals

  • Maintain strong relationships with BDMs across the NZ lending landscape

Delivery leadership

  • Own the client delivery function across the business

  • Lead and support our Philippines-based delivery team

    • Day-to-day hiring, onboarding, and team operations handled by a dedicated Philippines Operations Manager. Freeing you to focus on what matters most

  • Grow our onshore credit/delivery team - you will be our first onshore credit/delivery hire and your responsibility it to grow both the onshore and offshore team.

  • Your leadership role is to coach the team, raise capability over time, and act as the escalation point when the team encounters deals they can't process themselves

  • Set clear expectations, maintain quality standards, and create accountability across the workflow

  • Review work, provide feedback, and help lift performance over time

  • Build a culture of accuracy, ownership, and responsiveness

Workflow and execution

  • Own the pipeline. If a deal stalls, you're the one who finds the gear to get it moving

  • Take ownership of how client files move through TrailCRM

  • Improve systems, handovers, and process discipline across the delivery function

    • You will have support with the execution, but you are to define the workflows

  • Help brokers move faster by ensuring files are complete, well-managed, and submission-ready

  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements as the business grows

  • Ensure the delivery team is executing consistently at a high standard from first touch through to approval


What we're looking for

NZ brokerage experience is essential You've worked inside a New Zealand mortgage brokerage and understand the pace, moving parts, and standards required to deliver great outcomes.

Strong credit judgement and financial strategy capability You understand lender policy, deal structure, and submission quality; including expert-level knowledge of second-tier and non-bank lenders and out-of-the-box credit policy. You can look at a scenario and think through:

  • What is the smartest way to structure this? Main bank, non-bank, or split?

  • Which lender is the best fit, not just the easiest fit?

  • What are the trade-offs for the client over the next 1 to 3 years?

  • How do we balance speed, serviceability, flexibility, and long-term outcome?

Leadership capability You have experience leading people, or you are ready to step into a leadership role with confidence. You can communicate clearly, give direction, and hold a high bar both remotely and in person.

Delivery mindset You care deeply about quality, turnaround times, client outcomes, and team accountability. You know that great delivery is a competitive advantage.

Systems confidence You are comfortable learning and improving CRM-based workflows. TrailCRM experience is a plus, but not essential if you are highly capable with systems and process.


What success looks like

  • Brokers are fully removed from delivery; exceptions, lender queries, and escalations are handled entirely within your function

  • Zero reliance on brokers to chase banks, resolve conditions, or manage post-submission issues

  • Lift the quality and consistency of client delivery

  • Improve submission quality and lender fit across main bank, non-bank, and split structures

  • Increase speed and confidence across the delivery function

  • Build a stronger, more accountable offshore and onshore delivery team

  • Improve outcomes through better credit thinking and financial strategy

  • Create a scalable delivery function that supports the next stage of growth
