About the role

Pet Essentials Hamilton' is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistants to join our team in Rototuna, Waikato. This part-time role will see you assisting customers, maintaining store presentation, and contributing to the smooth running of our vibrant pet supplies store.

What you'll be doing

• Providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all our customers

• Assisting with the display and merchandising of products to create an engaging and visually appealing store environment

• Restocking shelves and managing inventory to maintain product availability

• Handling cash and card payments efficiently and accurately

• Contributing to the overall success of the store by actively participating in daily operations

What we're looking for

• A passion for pets and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and colleagues

• The ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced retail environment

• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, willing to take on a variety of tasks as required

• Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential - training will be provided

The hours we are offering are

Saturday 11am to 4pm

Sunday 9.30 to 4pm

Also to work in the school holidays and to cover sick leave.

Must be able to lift 20kg bag of dog food and 20kg Frozen Dog meat.
