Our client is an infrastructure management consultancy delivering outstanding solutions for clients across Aotearoa and internationally. Since 2002, they’ve supported clients through complex challenges with a blend of strategic insight, technical leadership, and authentic relationships.

As they continue to grow their presence in the South, we are looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to help shape their delivery in the Queenstown and Southern Lakes region.

About the Role
Based in Queenstown ideally or Christchurch, you will lead and deliver civil engineering inputs across a range of infrastructure programmes and projects, starting with the Queenstown gondola. This is a role for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise with strategic thinking and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering activities across planning, design, procurement, and delivery
• Provide expert insight within wider P3M, strategic outcomes, and commercial advisory engagements
• Manage and grow client relationships built on transparency and shared ambition
• Mentor and support early‑career professionals
• Contribute to the development and delivery of infrastructure that genuinely improves outcomes for communities and clients

About You

• 8+ years’ experience as a senior in civil engineering (10+ for principal level)
• Strong background in infrastructure planning, design, or project delivery
• Experience working within consultancy, client‑side advisory, or complex programme environments
• CPEng
• Ability to think strategically and communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders
• A collaborative style grounded in integrity, curiosity, and a people‑first mindset
