Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team on a part time basis. This role involves working with ākonga, their whānau, and teaching teams to develop and deliver individualised physiotherapy programs that support mobility, functional skills, and overall wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

  • Experience working with children with disabilities or additional learning needs, including physical disabilities, is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of equipment and strategies to support students with mobility and posture needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physiotherapy assessments to identify the needs of students with physical and developmental challenges.

  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans in collaboration with teaching teams.

  • Provide advice and training to staff and families on equipment use and movement strategies to support students’ access to learning.

  • Monitor and review progress, adjusting plans as needed to ensure student success.

  • Deliver culturally responsive practice to support engagement and success for our ākonga and their whānau
